At about 2:12 there's something surreal about seeing carnage (or is this truck-nage?) unfold with the reflection of an unconcerned nodding Garfield doll superimposed like some buddha who has transcended such worldly concerns.

It reminded me of the 1970s show "Chips", where there'd be some drawn-out set-up, involving something like a broken-down truck with a ramp lowered at the back which makes for a perfect launch pad for super-spectacular high speed mayhem with multiple vehicles flying through the air. Kids with toy cars would recreate a "Chips prang". Innocent times. We no longer need fictional chaos when we have the real thing.

November is here, early apparently! Nonetheless here we have a new video with a bevy of the luckiest two wheel drivers I have ever seen, and scooter who was not quite so lucky, and a convertible that, clearly, wasn't;

People continue to FAFO on dashcam, trigger warning here, nobody dies but it's rather gruesome viewing.

Dash Cam Owners Australia have just released the December 2023 compilation.

I'm trying to stay honest with myself about a writing commitment, so I'll have to watch later.

Worst behaviour: so many to choose from, but the road raging at 1'58" has me musing about the incidence of violence and aggression. I've been observing it in domestic situations on my street in recent months, it's a disturbing social malaise.

Best behaviour: helping a bewildered senior citizen, silent movie style.

Motorcycle moment: Around 3'30", I think someone needs to learn the front brake is not for cornering!

Just to let you know, this is not a dash cam video but an accident report from the US.

Street racing cars in excess of 100mph, crashes and explodes into pieces. Man is thrown out many meters away from crash site, stripped of his clothes by the violence of the crash, seriously injures himself and ends up in emergency condition in hospital fighting for his life. Man on video to reporter at just after 1 minute mark, "god was on that man's side." You know, maybe if god had decided to turn up just 30 seconds earlier it would have been much more convenient?

...
I'm buggered if I can understand how someone can get so agro about a driver tooting their car's horn at them for doing something stupid, rather than owning their mistake?! There are some fuckin' weird people in this world!

Any god who created a bloke and forgot to give him any sense is a god unworthy of the title.
