I'm usually wary of Jacqui Lambie because she comes across as a demagogue, but here she is calling for banning these dystopian social media nightmares, starting with xitter, and then acknowledging it's a big call. But it's the right call, fuck yes it is.

I notice she also called for a rethink on negative gearing today. She's always been better than most MPs as far as i'm concerned, notwithstanding the brainfarts every now and then. I'm happy to accept her weird fuck ups though, as long she balances the bad with the good (and also i detest the snobbery she attracts, especially from our end of the political spectrum).

1) Ask all federal Labor MPs to stop posting on X, and start posting on Mastodon.

2) Order all federal government departments and agencies to stop posting on X, and start posting on Mastodon.

3) Bribe the states to do the same.

"Hi Queensland, guess what? We just found a billion dollars under the couch for a shiny new Olympic stadium. Hi Tasmania, likewise for your new AFL stadium. And look Victoria, here's a few billion for the airport rail link — we'll cover the cost difference to put the airport station underground.

He called Musk a "poster child for divisive racist, sexist, and plutocratic tendencies that undermine democracy's commitment to equality for all." No argument there. He added, "Musk's willingness to burn down what he purchased suggests that he's motivated by a perverse righteousness, not profit." Even his slobbering incel fan base would agree with that.

Perez also accuses the so-called "free speech absolutist" of being a hypocrite:
