Also totally natural to die horribly from it

Quite true! I stand corrected.

The article mentioned in the video is interesting. I've been bemused to see the left-wing hippy crap being taken over by right-wing nutters. Trump's involvement is another example of his indifference to any issue except his own grandeur. He's a junk food lover, he doesn't give a shit about this stuff. Maybe he would if he drank some infected raw milk.

They've started killing Americans and they haven't even taken office yet. If the possibility of mass deportation and concentration camps isn't scary enough, the prospect of these fools governing during an epidemic, that is potentially far more lethal than covid, should be reason enough to get the fuck out if you can.

It's a toxic cocktail. Stupidtopia, kleptocracy and christian fascism - and no discernible adults in the room because they weren't offered positions or they're soon to be sacked by Elon Musk. Probably half the military are maga, and when you start hoping for military intervention you're probably on the wrong track anyway, so there's no hope there.

It really is shaping up as quite the historical moment.

Perhaps we need to merge the Trump thread with the USA far right thread, they are basically the same thing now?

Trump's knew head of state based propaganda, as opposed to the reptile Rupert's outfit, is Kari Lake! Cool. She's fucking nuts, so she'll provide some amusement, in a dark horror kind of way.

Dealing with the US is going to be like dealing with a two year old holding a fully loaded AK47 and on the verge of a tantrum.

Trump to remove daylight savings in America;
Donald Trump has kicked off a daylight savings debate after he took to X to declare his plan to axe it completely.

Mr Trump, who will become president of the United States again in January, has attacked the daylight savings system.
This may be something he can actually achieve, although its only just been suggested so we don't know how much push back there will be from red states and governors.

Bloody history and its endless rhymes!

I think it's fair to call RFK and Trump's broader approach to health neo-Lysenkoism.

From wiki:
In 1928, rejecting natural selection and Mendelian genetics, Trofim Lysenko claimed to have developed agricultural techniques which could radically increase crop yields. These included vernalization, species transformation (one species turning into another), inheritance of acquired characteristics, and vegetative hybridization
Multiple famines later.
More than 3,000 mainstream biologists were dismissed or imprisoned, and numerous scientists were executed in the Soviet campaign to suppress scientific opponents.
I can well imagine 'woke' scientists who believe in the 'woke' ideology of vaccine science being sacked by Trump and his palls.

Lysenkoism is a great lesson, partly because it was a Stalinist phenomenon, and we all know what happened to Stalinism, the Soviet Union and pretty much all the Marxist-Leninist Communist authoritarian states. Now the Trumpians have their own version. It's kind of hilarious how some of their goats bleat about "cultural Marxism". They should check their own "cultural Stalinism".
