@ALDIAustralia - this is on social media because I don't want to identify the store and cost somebody a job.
I had to tell a checkout person to sanitise their hands because they wiped their nose on the back of their hand and they then reached for my order.

Re: Bad Commercial Experiences
I had a fun experience in Aldi during COVID when masks were mandated..
Some older guy was walking around, no mask, mocking people wearing masks (not to their faces but talking to his companion loud enough that we can hear about his conspiracy theories).
Another chap got more pissed than the rest of us and told him he should be doing his part and wearing a mask like the rest of us (calmly but sternly at first). The non masker started going back at him saying it is all fake etc etc and he doesn't have to wear one if he doesn't want to, it then escalated.
The Aldi staff intervened and told the masked chap that it is none of his business why another customer is not wearing a mask and he needs to leave the store. He argued back pointing out that it wasn't a health reason he is just a conspiracy theory idiot who is endangering other customers. They responded that it was none of his business.
Hilarious, so the one doing both the morally right and legal thing is then told to leave the store, but the anti masker can stay. I was at the checkout by then and told the staff member that he wasn't the problem, but they were all against him by then as "he is making a scene". They ended up calling the police on him as he argued back, but he ended up dropping his stuff and just walking out of the store despite their protests, and they then apologised to the anti masker.
If he had stayed I was planning to wait until the police got there to make a witness statement as clearly he needed the support but he was gone, so I left too.
I did actually make a complaint to Aldi HO as curious what they would say. They said it is not their staff's responsibility to police whether customers wore masks or not. sigh..

Re: Bad Commercial Experiences
Aldi responded on birdsite, supplying a link to a form that must be completed in all fields.
I don't want to identify the store and get the poor eejit fired.
I just want staff to be reminded of basic hygiene.
