You really know you're comparatively powerless when you're caught in need of the bog in unfamiliar territory.

I didn't think of the demise of public dunnies as being similar to enclosure of the commons, till now.

The lack of public sanitation in capitalist society is a feature, not a bug. When every toilet is privately owned, then the state can criminalize public urination and require us to buy access from the owners of toilets *or automatically become criminals subject to arrest.*

It seems trivial, but this is as much a form of enclosure as any estate cleared of its traditional communities.
