The Federal judge placed an order yesterday to stop the Federal funding freeze, the Trump administration has interpreted that order to only apply to a rescission of the memo ordering departments to carry out the funding freeze because it was vague and ambiguous, but that the funding freeze is still in place and the Administration expects Federal agencies to continue with the funding freeze in keeping with Trump's desire to break the law. Said Federal judge has now issued a restraining order that he didn't issue the other day because the Administration agreed to the rescission, which of course he, and everyone else there assumed that meant the funding freeze to would end because that was actually the intention of the order.

Bizarre the Trump administration is making it clear that nothing but a direct instruction to do something will be accepted, and even then they will try and still do the thing that have been told not to do. Legal cases continue as the Trump administration tries to use every possible loophole to avoid doing what a Federal judge has told them to do!

Trump orders Musk to get astronauts off ISS "as soon as possible," does that mean he will be allowed to bypass normal safety regulations and approvals for Trump to wave as a victory? He does know there's a reason for the delay, because they want to get them back alive and not as part of a RUD.

But NASA already put such a plan in place months ago when it asked SpaceX to return astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore from the International Space Station as part of its Crew-9 mission. A delay in that plan was then announced in December because mission teams said they needed more time to prepare a new SpaceX vehicle.

It does occur to me, you know, that the entire thing was a lie and they didn't actually need time to prepare a new SpaceX vehicle but that Musky, the traitorous rat, deliberately held up the rescue so that it could happen under a Trump administration rather than a Biden administration so that Trump could claim he did it and Biden wasn't able to get it done!

Just bear that in mind, while on probation she caused a DUI death! And Trump pardoned her, well he can't pardon her for this, it's a state charge!

What happens when you break institutional memory: the processes, procedures and conventions of an institution that keep it operating (relatively) efficiently? What happens when you lose thousands of years of institutional memory in the form of career bureaucrats and their collective decades of knowledge? We're not at the end of week 2 yet, four years of this and all will be dysfunctional and there is no certainty any new government will be able to rebuild these things, or at least not quickly.

It really highlights a bizarre but old idea, one of Trump's biggest enemies is the American government, its federal laws, its constitution and the bureaucracy that holds it all together. Amidst the chaos approaching, only the glorious leader can get anything done, it's a classic move and it does mirror the national socialists in 1933 Berlin.

However, i'm not proposing that Trump's people are busy reading history and attempting to repeat Hitler's every move. It's more a case of convergence, i suspect. They want a free hand to grift and impose their ridiculous notions and delusions and religious oppression and the only thing stopping them is what Trump calls 'the swamp,' or what others call democracy (and it was a pretty half-arsed democracy to begin with, so it won't be hard).

If 'bin Laden were alive, he'd be sending Trump money, because Trump will do more irreparable damage to the US than a thousand high-jacked commercial jets.
