My brother, who is a voracious consumer of Netflix and its ilk, alerted me to Blue Eye Samurai. I greatly enjoyed the first episode. It had to win me over because I refuse to watch anime dubs, with a few exceptions. But you can tell pretty quickly that this is not one of those, it's American made, it just happens to be set in ancient Japan.
I've been watching Orphan Black Echos, almost done..
It got canned a bit as everyone expected something as good as the original Orphan Black which was awesome..
Echoes is a new and different story with parallels, it's a good series in it's own right I think, but yeah not as good as the original.

Just watched most of the mist netflix show (not the movie which has nothing to do with the show). I'd say don't bother, a big plot point is how the only queer characters are a rapist, and closet case abuser and a woman with like 10 lines so far. Of course the homophobic abusive dad gets to justify his hatred and the mum trying to protect her child who was raped is a crazy controlling bitch.
My recomdation, skip it and just watch the movie

Anyone else found themselves watching a series simply because they cannot believe how bad it is?
It's the only explanation I can offer for us viewing a second episode of NCIS Sydney, and I am firmly convinced one of us will use the veto card if we start a third.

Okay, I have to confess episode 3 was almost up to main series NCIS back in the later days of Mark Harmon's tenure. Not brilliant, but better than the first two.
"Not top-notch, but not awful" is Herself's verdict.

My spies (heh!) inform me that series 3 of Slow Horses begins next week.
