I am a bit surprised they didn't have her make her man a sammich while she did the speech. Opportunity lost.
I could only bear to watch a few seconds of it, up until she pretended she was crying a little bit about wanting to get her country back.

I liked this, but she should be a Gilead wife, not a handmaid. Even the Republican reaction is bad, she'd better watch her fingers.

It seems the "Stepford Wives SOTU Response" was even worse than we thought, with actual lies disguised as commentary;

That's quite a despicable lie. So much for Washington's apocryphal cherry tree.

Interestingly I have been seeing map projections based on recent polls that show Trump winning by a small margin for the last few weeks, where they take poll numbers and project them onto the US map, strangely today one of the same channels posted a fresh one that showed Biden winning by 2%! Now 2% is fuck all and it would need to be a lot more than that before it becomes significant, will have to keep an eye on them and see how they go.

Does this go under biden or musk ;-)
President Biden will announce on Tuesday that he is raising tariffs on an array of Chinese imports, including electric vehicles, solar cells, semiconductors and advanced batteries, in what he calls an effort to protect strategic American industries from a new wave of competitors that are unfairly subsidized by Beijing.

The president will also officially endorse maintaining tariffs on more than $300 billion worth of Chinese goods that were put in place by President Donald J. Trump. Mr. Biden criticized those tariffs as taxes on American consumers during his 2020 run for the White House.

Mr. Biden’s moves are the latest trade-war escalation from a president who initially pledged to repeal at least some of the Trump tariffs but now refuses to cede any ground to his rival in a tough-on-China appeal to swing voters in the industrial Midwest and beyond.

Tesla aside, the US car industry has failed dismally to come up with viable EVs. Chinese cars would destroy the US car industry. Free trade be damned, climate crisis be damned, they will protect Detroit and keep on burning up all that oil, even if it kills us all.

In parallel with the Trump thread...

We are in for a rocky ride whatever happens. Headlines after today's debate include "Biden bombs", "Biden struggles", "Democrats panic". There's also renewed talk of finding someone else. "Biden is toast", quoted on Politico

He was unwatchable. If they don't replace him Trump will win the election...possibly. He just looked so enfeebled, its hard to imagine anyone who was undecided now voting for him after that. My god. Trump again....start believing....
