In addition to the IDF killing Israeli hostages in Gaza, here's another case of "shoot first, then check the corpse to see if you got the wrong guy".
another commuter – an Israeli outpost settler and army reservist named Aviad Farija – saw Yuval with a gun and allegedly started shooting at him.

CCTV cameras show that Yuval threw down his gun and put his hands in the air to show he was no threat.

Realising that he was being confused as a Palestinian attacker, Yuval threw his Israeli ID onto the ground, but Mr Farija allegedly kept shooting.

"He first shouted at them, he raised his hands, he dropped to his knees, he surrendered," Moshe said.

"He threw his gun aside and he saw they continued to shoot so he pulled out his wallet took out his Israeli ID and threw it."

Now, Israel admits to some totally-not-Gaza targets.

Cue lots of deaths.

Supreme Court of Israel retains powers against unconstitutional law changes.
Israel's Supreme Court has struck down a controversial judicial reform that triggered nationwide protests last year against the Netanyahu government.

The change would have limited the power of the Supreme Court in overturning laws it deemed unconstitutional.

Critics say it would have severely undermined the country's democracy by weakening the judicial system.

There is strong opposition to the current Netanyahu government, seen as the most right-wing in Israeli history.

The Supreme Court's decision to overturn the law passed by the government in 2023 follows months of internal turmoil.

South Africa files genocide charges against Israel in International Court of Justice.
South Africa has filed a case at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) alleging that Israel is engaging in "genocidal acts" in Gaza.

The UN court confirmed the application concerning alleged violations of Israel's obligations under the Genocide Convention.

Israel has strongly rejected the allegation, calling it "baseless".

"Israel rejects with disgust the blood libel spread by South Africa", the foreign ministry said.

The ICJ, which is based in the Hague in the Netherlands, is the UN's principal judicial organ. It settles disputes between states and gives advisory opinions on international legal issues.

Following its application to the ICJ, South Africa's presidency said in a statement that the country was obliged "to prevent genocide from occurring".

"South Africa is gravely concerned with the plight of civilians caught in the present Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip due to the indiscriminate use of force and forcible removal of inhabitants," it said.

"Furthermore, there are ongoing reports of international crimes, such as crimes against humanity and war crimes, being committed as well as reports that acts meeting the threshold of genocide or related crimes... have been and may still be committed in the context of the ongoing massacres in Gaza."

The 84-page document states that the "acts and omissions by Israel" are "genocidal in character because they are intended to bring about the destruction of a substantial part of the Palestinian national, racial and ethnical group".

The application asks the ICJ for a hearing to take place next week and requests that a number "provisional measures" be indicated by the court, including that Israel cease all military activities in Gaza.

Truly, everybody suffers, directly or indirectly.
The planet-warming emissions generated during the first two months of the war in Gaza were greater than the annual carbon footprint of more than 20 of the world’s most climate-vulnerable nations, new research reveals.

The vast majority (99%) of the 281,000 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2 equivalent) estimated to have been generated in the first 60 days following the 7 October Hamas attack can be attributed to Israel’s aerial bombardment and ground invasion of Gaza, according to a first-of-its-kind analysis by researchers in the UK and US.

According to the study, which is based on only a handful of carbon-intensive activities and is therefore probably a significant underestimate, the climate cost of the first 60 days of Israel’s military response was equivalent to burning at least 150,000 tonnes of coal.

The analysis, which is yet to be peer reviewed, includes CO2 from aircraft missions, tanks and fuel from other vehicles, as well as emissions generated by making and exploding the bombs, artillery and rockets. It does not include other planet-warming gases such as methane. Almost half the total CO2 emissions were down to US cargo planes flying military supplies to Israel.

Hamas rockets fired into Israel during the same period generated about 713 tonnes of CO2, which is equivalent to approximately 300 tonnes of coal – underscoring the asymmetry of each side’s war machinery.

I've been convinced for a while now that Israel plans to destroy and take over Gaza. I suppose in an attempt to end the "Palestinian" problem once and for all.

I regularly watch LBC on youtube. Here is a snippet from James O'brien (love him) commenting on the Israeli Ambassador. She quite bluntly, with an evil and cold disposition admits to their abhorrent plans.
