Heard jim chalmers defending stage three tax cuts on the grounds that the surplus is bigger than expected. What else would you do with unexpected windfall beside give it to those least in need of it. Makes perfect sense in 2023

His disdain for the unwaged is annoying enough to ensure ALP goes from second choice to "just above LNP and nazis" on our ballot papers.

There were already reasons not to put them first.

This pretty well sums it up. GovCo want a buffer of poors, so they make sure one exists.

Jeff Sparrow summarises the situation we are in. He might have mentioned Murdoch, who has helped create this environment where Labor has to be Liberal lite just to get into power. Although reading this, it's not that "lite" any more. The Voice referendum is the exception. With so much sickening racism out there in the wild, I can't bring myself to pre-emptively blame Labor for the poor showing so far, but the there will come a time to stop any buck-passing.
