As nobody I know of said, ever, so far: "there is nothing like a Saturday morning to remind one of one's own mortality".
In my case, it was this decrepit, myopic, entitled, hag of a driver who nearly truncated the Black+Trolley articulated combo, as I was walking on the very fucking clearly marked pedestrian crossing, headed for my own vehicle.
She got close enough that it was possible to tap the old "Shave And A Haircut - Six Bits" rhythm on the boot lid.
I know, because I did.
She stopped, and gave the best mute Billy Bass impression I've seen in many a long while.
I pointed to the crossing, and me, and wagged my finger at her. It may have looked funny to observers, but I'm not impartial, and won't say whether it did or not.
Anyway, I eventually decided to get on with the rest of my life, which meant Aldi was next.
While queuing at the checkout there, I was musing on things beyond everyday life, as you do when a near-death experience grips you by the jigglies...
And I thought that Star Warts is very like the bible.
A threatening presence who won't let you see his face turns up and announces he's Father, and as a result there's a painful mutilation.
Oh yeah, and bucketloads of implausible mystic shit.
