Current-affairs-wise, plenty's brewing, but nothing outstanding has come to light so far this morn.
Suddenly, lots of people are fans of Women's Football Team. Us, meh.
How's your day?

Re: Morning All!
Pretty good for a Monday.. work and all Monday mornings always a bit intense, lunch (well exercise first) break now..
A lot of carrying on about the football at work.. I am not a sports follower so no interest in it.

Re: Morning All!
The 1800 update of the local weather report gave us a sudden change from a projected overnight minimum of 5 to 3!
Oh, that, and a possible frost. I discovered this info at about 1930 hrs.
After striving all winter to keep my plants, I wasn't quite prepared for a trudge round the yard in the mostly-dark, tarping plants, and my back is having quite a rough patch, so there was no chance I'd be choofing a whole bunch of semi-advanced specimens (average pot weight about 5kg) up the yard and into the shed.
Perhaps life in the garden was going to get a lot simpler.
Luckily, frost didn't happen. From the trends, this low seems to have been an extreme outlier, and my next problem's going to be extremes of hot and dry.
At 0645, Dog gave the neighborhood a fine rendition of that classic "Dad, come quick - there's bloody scrub turkeys at the back fence and I don't like them!"
She's still one of the quietest doggies in the neighborhood, when all is taken into account. Only gives short gruffy barks to tell me about intruders unless they get close to the property perimeter, when Big Girl Voice is deployed.
And there's another bad habit that two close-by pups have, that Dog doesn't... accompanying the siren of any emergency vehicle (no matter how distant) with long, drawn-out ARRRRRROOOOOOOOOOO!
It's got to the point that, if a distant siren's heard, Herself will just mumble, "Oh dear, choir practice."

Re: Morning All!
A fucking gorgeous morning here. 21 expected, 17 already. I've got a good walking loop including a "feel-the-burn" 45 degree hill. Met a couple of nice old doggos on the way and chatted to the owner. I put curtains over two 2-metre wide windows yesterday and I'm pretty sure it made a huge difference to the warmth of the house this morning. I'll do more today.
Like youse guys I've also not been drawn in by the world cup, but it's got some good points, e.g. I heard on the radio it's the queerest sporting event in terms of scale and acceptance, apparently. The men have got a lot to learn.
Tomorrow is Henry's traditional op shopping day and we're also going to see a local NDIS provider.
