You know things are going bad when they lower the age to join the army to 14 years. While they will probably claim no-one under the age of 18 will end up in combat, well they lied before and they will again. Volunteers in Russia are just so much cannon fodder.

Maybe Ukraine should do the same in occupied Russian territories lol! But they wouldn't do that, I mean reports coming out in the occupied Russian territories is that life continues as normal for the locals, it's just that the troops carry different flags, a far cry from the murder and destruction that follows Russian occupation.

Oh dear, Russia complaining about the lack of outrage from western countries after a Russian General was killed in an assassination attack in Moscow;

“An entire day has passed – where is at least some sort of reaction from abroad?” Zakharova wrote on Telegram. “Where are the ‘civilised’ ones? The ‘objective’ ones?”

Now let's be clear, they all do it, it's like a game to them, the US, Israel, Russia, Iran, there are no civilized ones left when it comes to war and politics, so Russia can just shut up. They are at war with Ukraine, they invaded Ukraine not the other war around, any military target on Russian soil is a fair target. I am just glad that no innocent civilians were killed in this operation because that hasn't always been the case with Russia's assassination targets!

Been a while for this thread, but it seems things are picking up in Russia again with a recent number of...notable...deaths.

There was that oil executive a week ago, almost a typical Russian Oligarch death you might say;

Andrei Badalov, vice president of Transneft, Russia's largest state-controlled pipeline transport company, died after falling from the window of his apartment in Moscow.

Russian state news agency TASS, citing law enforcement sources, claimed the preliminary cause of death was suicide.

The suddenly a politician is dead after being recently dismissed by Putin, accident or suicide? Apparently he fell on some bullets, no windows involved this time, of course he may have fallen on the bullets while falling out of a window, details have not been released!

It appears an absolute avalanche of deaths since the beginning of the year:

Earlier this year, in February, Colonel Yevgeny Golovaty, a deputy department head at the Interior Ministry, reportedly died by suicide. A month later, Vladimir Ananyev, a senior official from the northern city of Arkhangelsk collapsed and passed away during a hockey game. In April, Igor Rozhnev, deputy head of a regional branch of the Federal Penitentiary Service, reportedly took his own life.

Are the higher ups in Russia getting restless, is Putin trying to take proactive steps against opposition to the Ukraine war? Who knows, we won't find out the reason behind the deaths if all the opponents die of course, but everyone will be staying on the opposite side of the rooms from any windows for while will be my guess.
