The US has officially gone to war with Iran, bombing 3 nuclear sites, what the fuck happened to the "you will know in 2 weeks?" ANd what the fuck congress doing?
The United States has bombed three nuclear sites inside Iran, with Donald Trump warning "future attacks would be far greater and a lot easier".

"I can report to the world that the strikes were a spectacular military success," he said during a White House address tonight.

"Iran's nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated."

The extent of the damage at the Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan sites could not be independently verified.
And then he threatens if Iran retaliates? I mean HE attacked THEM, what the fuck does he expect them to do, just sit there and take it while he continues to attack?
"Now it is our turn to, without wasting time, as a first step, fire missiles at the US naval fleet in Bahrain and at the same time close the Strait of Hormuz to American, British, German and French ships," he said in the hardline Kayhan newspaper.

Mr Trump reiterated his warning that the United States was willing to continue its aerial campaign on Iran.

"Any retaliation by Iran against the United States of America will be met with force far greater than what was witnessed tonight," he said in a late-night post to Truth Social.
We can bomb you and you aren't allowed to do anything back, that's how he thinks war works? Really?

Seems the constant emergency strategy overcame the 'no more wars' faction. I wonder who is next on list? Turkey perhaps?

We are not planning on regime change, we have never planned regime change, we just want to stop them getting nuclear weapons, said everybody from the Security Secretary Hegseth on down to the MAGA's in congress.

The next day Trump on Truth Social;
“If the current Iranian Regime is unable to MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN, why wouldn’t there be a Regime change???” he wrote in the post.
This is why nobody believes them on anything at all!

The US entered yet another war in the Middle East without any clear motive, strategy, objectives, popular support, succession plan or exit arrangement, leading to claims it has no fucking idea what it is doing.
That quote is from the Shovel. We're truly in the age where the line between satire and straight news reporting is indiscernible.

It's Iraq all over again, except Iraq has a population of 46 million and Iran 90 million. Iraq is 430,000 km2 and Iran 1.8 million km2. Iraq was a deeply divided almost dysfunctional dictatorship, Iran is unified in its Persian identity and its Shiism. Yes, there is great underground resistance to the regime but it seems unlikely it will coalesce around a US/Israeli invasion! In fact, the opposite appears the more likely, from what i've read. Iraq was a total disaster for all concerned, what will that make Iran?

Stooopid leaders. Insanity on stilts. And how weak and terrible has Albo's response been? When the US ask us to join its 'regime change,' (which means invasion) good luck to the ALP if they commit troops, because they're bust if they do.

I can't help thinking, how much is Albo's response based on the hope that by backing Trump he will let us continue with the stupid submarine agreement!

Trump has officially gone mad, his latest grifting venture is one of the most bizarre yet, an orange T-shirt with his picture and the DADDY under it. Stalin called himself Father of Nations, Trump calls himself DADDY, lol!

Technically not directly to do with Trump but his fault for appointing idiots!
An influential vaccine advisory panel made up of allies of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has voted to recommend against the use of flu vaccines containing thimerosal, a commonly used, mercury-based preservative that has long been a target of anti-vaccination groups.
Thimerosal is safe, science tells us it is, it's been tested thoroughly.
RFK Jr., Donald Trump’s Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary and a long-time vaccine sceptic, earlier this month fired the entire 17-member ACIP panel, all of whom were appointed under former President Joe Biden.
Of course he did, citing what justification, and noting that during his appointment hearing he actually stated he would not do this anyway.
Mr Kennedy claimed in a Wall Street Journal op-ed that the ousted panel was “plagued with persistent conflicts of interest” and had become “little more than a rubber stamp for any vaccine”.
Conflicts of interest? How is this for one?
This week’s regular two-day ACIP meeting, which had been set to vote on the safety of flu vaccines and discuss proposed recommendations for the use of the combined MMRV vaccine for children under five, was updated to include a presentation on thimerosal by Lyn Redwood, a nurse practitioner and former president of Children’s Health Defense, the anti-vaccination group founded by Mr Kennedy.
He is using people from an anti-vaccine foundation founded by himself to make recommendation to the committee? Surely that's a huge conflict of interest? She's not going to say anything he would disagree with, in fact she was probably selected because she won't say anything he disagrees with. Oh well back to the dark ages with you all!

Things about to blow up, Canadian citizen arrested in Florida by ICE has died while in their custody. Couple of questions, why are they arresting Canadian citizens? Surely they don't think Canadians are sneaking into the US to work illegally? What is Canada going to do?
