Another video from everything electric, if you aren't interested in watching the entire video just watch the past about the new renewable energy project in the Nullarbor starting at 8m 30s, will link directly to the part below. Here is s summary, a 70GW renewable power generation plant using combined wind and solar, the largest in the world. Will take 5 years to complete and several billion dollars. Sounds a long time and a lot of money. If we were to try and replicate it using Nuclear though, that would require between 20-25 nuclear power stations at an estimated cost over a trillion dollars. Oh and it would take 25-30 years to actually do it with nuclear plants.

The total power generation will be equivalent to the entire power used in the UK during peak hours, so massive power at a fraction of the cost of any other method, so much for Dutton and nuclear ambitions, this would probably not have gone ahead under a Liberal Government, his plans sound almost laughable now. The rest of the video is ok as well.
