Next year should be interesting with the next census coming out. If trends continue maybe 50% of the public will put down "No Religion". Even if it falls slightly short of that mark about 7% of Australians don't respond to the religious question at all so that should easily put us over the line.

As atheists become the majority it will have a huge impact on education, law and society. Already the rise in atheism has seen abortion laws, gay marriage and euthanasia introduced. Maybe soon we'll see churches finally paying taxes.

Unfortunately we'll have to wait until 2027 to find out the results though.

There are plenty of religious people who support female bodily autonomy and there are atheists that don't. How long have you identified as an atheist? I ask because atheism is a completely empty claim, right? It has no substance, no moral code, no conception of the good life, no politics, no particular view on anything. Stalin was an atheist and so was his contemporary Bertrand Russell and you would be hard pressed to find two more contrasting characters. So what does being atheist tell you about someone, other than they don't believe in god/s? The answer is nothing.

My point being, 'no religion' going passed 50% does not necessarily ensure the patriarchy is finally smashed, unfortunately.

Wayne is perma-banned, sorry for any headaches his bullshit caused or any broken threads as I didn't have the time to go through all his posts. I saw some bigoted crap and just purged him..

I've known Wayne who got banned from the former forum. I had a look at his website and his own forum. I wonder what inspires him to create his own version comparing to our forum?
