Trump is in serious trouble, he can't think of a derisive nickname for Kamala Harris that will stick;
Donald Trump has adopted a new nickname for his election opponent, Kamala Harris. There’s one teensy problem though: no one has any idea what it means.

Since Monday Mr Trump, the Republican Party’s nominee for president, has been referring to the Vice President and Democratic nominee, Ms Harris, as “Kamabla”.

It appears to be his latest attempt to find a moniker for Ms Harris that will actually stick, having previously trialled “Lyin’ Kamala” and “Laughin’ Kamala”. The latter was a reference to her distinctive, enthusiastic laugh; the former a callback to his old name for Senator Ted Cruz, against whom he ran for the Republican nomination in 2016.
So he's started calling her Kamabla, for as far as anyone can tell no reason at all. You know what it reminded me of, a school playground where kids invent names for other kids they don't like, people have claimed Trump's intellect is that of a child, I can't say this dispels that idea, it's looking more and more correct as time goes by.

They have also taken to try and invent one for her new VP, one they tried was Tampon Tim, because he arranged for free menstrual products to be available in all high school girls bathrooms in his state, needless to say everyone thinks this is a actually a great idea, so it has fallen somewhat flat, he is actually quite proud of being Tampon Tim so that didn't work.

So the entire campaign is flailing because, well if you can't think of a suitable derisive and insulting nickname for your opponents what are you to do, run on actual policy positions? Oh lol that would be funny!

Latest news, Trump wants to put Nascar drivers and football coaches in charge of the US military, because Nascar racers win a lot of races so they must be ideally suited to teach combat strategy and maneuvers......I guess....

Trump campaign hacked. They whinge about it, seemingly forgetting the RNC hack and Trump's gleeful "I love wikileaks" declaration.

A thought just occurred to me, that even though Trump might be in Putin's pocket, maybe there's a view emerging that even America's bitterest foes would suffer from the chaos of another term for the orange pustule. Wouldn't it be sweet if the troll farms all turned on him and his couch perv pal?

Actually no, it wouldn't be sweet, nothing about these fuckers and their dirty tricks is good. But being hoist with their own petard has a certain appeal.

The NYT's dive into Trumpland dysfunction is also worth a read.

People around the former and would-be president see a candidate knocked off his bearings, disoriented by his new contest with Kamala Harris and unsure of how to take her on.

"Yet"

Don't you mean "yet"?

As in:

"Worst 3 weeks yet"

Check back in 3 weeks

I'm thinking about the odds that Trump doesn't make it to polling day. It's an attractive bet.

I'm increasingly coming around to the idea that sometimes the best approach to follow is "when they go low, we kick them." Naming the photo of Vance in drag "Sofa Loren" is the lowest, best kick so far. (sofar?) It's as good as "Kamabla" is bad.

I'm definitely starting to feel confident Harris will win. My nervous trepidation levels have pleasantly diminished over the last two weeks. However, this article brings me back to the other concern, Trump losing.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/art ... ction-vote

The article concludes that safeguards have been established and they give electoral procedures added strength, but it also points out that Maga is planning better this time around. Trump is also more powerful than four years ago, imo. He has moved into the realm of cult leader now. I imagine a loss will produce from him more than a rambling 'march on the capitol' speech. He'll call for civil war, or something equally unhinged. Crackpot America.
