I can't see them selling a lot of these monstrosities. The new growth market is in affordable smaller cars which are starting to emerge from the likes of BYD and GWM. Musk preferred to make his sci-fi fantasy tank. Meanwhile the company overall is running out of charge.Irrev-Black wrote: ↑Sun Jan 28, 2024 9:00 pm Save those fingers - you may need them for the touchscreen.

And exactly what I have said all along, Tesla only exists because there were no competitors, they either need to get smart and dump Musk and his silly cybertruck ideas, I mean they are great for a scifi first off the ground electric car maker because they bring in a lot of money and attention, but that era is over and they either need to cater to the market or sell off everything to somebody who will bring them back to reality.stylofone wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 6:57 amI can't see them selling a lot of these monstrosities. Without self-driving Tesla has no edge.
Tesla's self-driving kills people.
Dodgy engineering and vapid marketting stunts can only get you so far.

I assume these are free market trade barriers"Frankly, I think if there are not trade barriers established, they will pretty much demolish most other car companies in the world,” Musk said of China’s automakers.

Reminds me of his absolute free speech (except when he doesn't approve).

But ye cannae rob the shareholders, it seems.
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-01-31/ ... /103408230A judge has ruled that Elon Musk's record-breaking $US56 billion ($84 billion) Tesla pay package could be voided, calling the compensation "an unfathomable sum" that was not fair to shareholders.
Kathaleen McCormick of Delaware's Court of Chancery found the package was negotiated by directors who seemed beholden to their headline-making CEO and the promise of allowing him to share in the company's enormous growth.
