Re: Aus Election 2025
They're both so out of touch with both electorates. They will be consigned to an irrelevant opposition for years. The Libs can kind of see that but I wouldn't trust them anyway.

Re: Aus Election 2025
Ted O'Brien, Member for Fairfax, and now, extraordinarily, deputy LNP leader (who I had the "luck" to drive past on my way to work in Maroochydore before the election while he and his team were ambushing motorists on Maroochydore Road) reckons -
"As we do rebuild as a party, we will hold a very ...

Re: Aus Election 2025
As I posted on Blue Sky, I as an ALP member agree with Gina. The LNP must embrace all Trump policies!! They'll never be elected again.

Re: Aus Election 2025
Just one more thing. I spent time at 3 schools yesterday. Every single LNP person working the booths that I saw was an Islander. Obviously from a church somewhere. Not that it makes any great difference to the vote other than the LNP in Rankin struggle to get any volunteers at all.

Re: Aus Election 2025
Congratulations Wolty!
Disappointing for Greens. The vote remained steady, 0.07 swing against is not catastrophic. They'll probably have 3 seats in the lower house at best. The idea that would-be greens voters went for the ALP out of fear of Dutton may be true, after all i've been alerted this ...

Re: Aus Election 2025
Calling it. An increased majority. Dutton is gone. There's only pre poll left for the LNP and I did almost every day and as another ALP volunteer repeated most days, there's no baseball bats.
Old seats are going to the ALP.

Re: Aus Election 2025
So, I'm on a break. Yay!
I was at Springwood High this morning at 7am. Met our booth captain and waited. A couple of other ALP people turned up. Around 6 of us. Driving in to the school there was only ALP signs. Around 8.30 an LNP car turned up, set up a couple of signs and left. Then around 9am ...

Re: Aus Election 2025
A lot of people predicting a Liberal win suddenly, but strangely Dutton is in danger of losing his seat to Labor, I mean polls and talk, who knows what's going to happen, but it will be a disaster if Dutton wins, he has already publicly stated his intentions to destroy renewables, it's bizarre it ...

Re: Aus Election 2025
Our pre-poll today wasn't as busy as yesterday but was pretty constant. It's still going ok. It's really hard to get a feel for how things are going with how to vote cards. Lots of people take all, lots of people take none, you get the odd person that is quite exuberant and the odd one that is ...
