That's prescient for me. I just had a beery conversation with chums about how genocide in gaza has replaced climate change...oh and some fake war in Iran, and Israel and their ridiculous god's real estate allotment and Trump and also cost of living and interest rates...and...and so on...

Re: Donald Trump
The US entered yet another war in the Middle East without any clear motive, strategy, objectives, popular support, succession plan or exit arrangement, leading to claims it has no fucking idea what it is doing.

Re: Donald Trump
Seems the constant emergency strategy overcame the 'no more wars' faction. I wonder who is next on list? Turkey perhaps?

Re: Donald Trump
I'm starting to think trump won't commit troops to Iran, but i reckon he'll do some bombing and claim victory. There's just too much opposition to foreign wars from within maga itself. He does need continual emergency to function though, so the potential remains.

Re: Donald Trump
Scary article.

It reads like a checklist of milestones on the road to autocracy.

Re: Donald Trump
I think Trump left the summit because he really can't talk with with adults and it made him feel insecure. Trump is Trump when the camera is rolling, a big old show. He's totally fine when surrounded by his sycophantic maga mob and he's totally fine when surrounded by his grifting corrupt family ...

Simon Tisdall's take is worth a read.

Slightly more on topic, Trump's parade was pathetic.

Re: Donald Trump
Netanyahu is insane. He seems to have swallowed Trump's nihilism pill. It's hard to imagine how the US won't be sucked directly into this war. But Iran is not Iraq, nor is it Afghanistan. My hope is that there are military people in the US that are capable of saying no to maga lunacy, but I'm ...

Re: Donald Trump
It's the first casualty of war, innit. The bald faced lies have been Trump's basic mo for the entirety of his career, so that maga would say the military were requested by the police just sits easily within the profile. The communists burned down the Reichstag.
